Samsung and Facebook are interested in buying Nokia.
IT market leaders are expressing interest in acquiring Nokia. Last week, it was announced that Microsoft was considering acquiring the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer.
And over the weekend, rumors emerged that South Korean mobile phone manufacturer Samsung, as well as social network Facebook, were interested in buying Nokia.
These rumors led to a nearly 10% increase in Nokia's share price. In the case of Samsung, the deal's value was even mentioned: $17 billion, a third higher than Nokia's current market capitalization.
Experts believe that Facebook's acquisition of Nokia is more likely, as such a deal would allow the company to solve the problem of monetizing the mobile version of the service.
