Samsung sues Apple in France
Samsung has struck back in its battle against Apple.
Samsung filed a lawsuit in a Paris court, accusing Apple of infringing three of its patents. These patents do not cover the device's appearance but describe third-generation UMTS mobile phone technologies. Samsung claimed that its patents are infringed by devices such as the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4, as well as iPad tablets with a 3G module.
As a reminder, the dispute between Apple and Samsung has been ongoing since April. Apple recently secured a complete ban on sales of a Samsung tablet in Germany.
The companies have filed lawsuits against each other in courts in several countries, including South Korea, the United States, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany and Japan.
