The sale of the Sex.com domain has been completed.

The long-suffering Sex.com domain has finally been resold. The $13 million purchase of the sex.com domain name has officially closed. This deal is one of the largest in the modern domain industry.

The offshore company Clover Holdings purchased the domain. It was sold to Escom, which had purchased it for almost the same price back in 2006. The sale took place after Escom's bankruptcy, when the company's creditors were selling off its assets.

The $13 million price tag for such a domain raises more questions than it answers. This price could be due, firstly, to the domain industry's stabilization and even oversaturation. Secondly, it could be artificially undervalued. Furthermore, the upcoming launch of the .XXX domain extension, designed specifically for pornographic websites, may have had a certain impact on the domain price.
