The 4th International Conference of Administrators and Registrars has begun its work in Serbia.

Yesterday, the 4th International Conference of Administrators and Registrars of National Domains of the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe began in Novi Sad, Serbia.

The event is attended by approximately 100 representatives of registrars from almost 30 countries.

Speakers on the first day of the conference included Andrey Kolesnikov, Director of the Coordination Center for .RU/.РФ TLDs; Nenad Marinković, Director of the Serbian National Registry RNIDS; and ICANN representatives Steve Gobin and Gabriella Schittek.

A RuNet representative discussed statistics on Russian national domains, including the Cyrillic domain .РФ.

ICANN representatives presented the New gTLD program. Also among the speakers on the first day was Slobodan Markovic, a representative of the Serbian Ministry of Culture, Media, and Information Society, who described the cooperation model between the ministry and the national registry, RNIDS.
