.az domain statistics: over 9,200 domain names

Over the past year, the number of domain names in the .az domain zone has increased by more than 2,000. At the beginning of 2009, there were approximately 7,000 domains in the .az zone; by the beginning of 2010, their number exceeded 9,200.

Most of the domains are registered in the .com.az zone – 521, also popular are the domain zones .org.az (81), .edu.az (76), .net.az (65), .gov.az (61), .int.az (54), .pp.az (52), .info.az (20), .co.az (17), .biz.az (7), .name.az (2).
