Only 22% of RuNet users are interested in the .РФ domain.

According to survey dataAccording to a survey conducted by specialists from the 3DNews.ru portal, 22.8% of users who plan to register their website in the Cyrillic domain are interested in it.

Of these, 16.1% said they would use the new domain to create a new website in the .РФ domain, while 14.2% would use the Cyrillic domain to redirect to an existing website. About 10% of survey participants identified themselves as cybersquatters and said they would register the domain for subsequent resale to interested parties.

Thirty percent of RuNet users interested in the .РФ domain already have their own website in the .RU domain.

Survey results show that domains in the .РФ zone are perceived by users as a complement to traditional domains in the .RU zone and are currently inferior to them in popularity.
