Market participants blame Yandex for the problems with the .РФ domain.

Some registrars have blamed Yandex for the fact that the .РФ domain is not developing as actively as desired.

This was stated, in particular, by the head of the domain name registrar REG.RU, Alexey Korolyuk.

This is because Yandex search results rank sites in the .RU domain higher than sites in the .РФ domain. Google, on the other hand, doesn't distinguish between these two Russian domains and displays sites from them side by side.

For this reason, webmasters are reluctant to register domains in the .РФ domain zone. This situation, according to Korolyuk, requires intervention from market participants.
