UMH sells blogging service Hiblogger.net to media holding Oboz.ua

Today, Ukrainian Media Holding announced the completion of the sale of the blogging service Hiblogger.net to the media holding Oboz.ua. Hiblogger positions itself as the first multifunctional Ukrainian blogging service. More than 15,000 bloggers are registered on Hiblogger, including many celebrity bloggers.

"We accepted the offer from Oboz.ua, which expressed interest in the resource, offered favorable terms, and has strong plans for further development," says project manager Mikhail Rogalsky. "Our team will now focus on developing other online media outlets—Gloss.ua, H.ua, Tennis.ua, Formula1.ua—as well as new projects."

Hiblogger.net was created by the Fine Web team in collaboration with Ukrainian Media Holding in 2006. The site offers flexible design customization, the ability to link your own domains to blogs, and the ability to create .

"We plan to integrate Hiblogger.net into the Oboz.ua network. This will give bloggers the opportunity to reach a larger audience," says Mykhailo Krivda, Technical Director of the Oboz.ua internet media holding. "There will be no major changes that would impact the internal workings of Hiblogger.net. We welcome any suggestions and requests from bloggers regarding the project's further development."

In the spring of 2007, Ukrainian Media Holding announced its intention to expand its online presence and become the leader in the Ukrainian online segment within three years. UMH also recently announced a tenfold increase in its authorized capital to UAH 3.9 million for the purpose of developing online projects.
