For All Business in All Business!

It's no longer just domain industry specialists who know and understand the importance of a website name. Companies in the US, Europe, Asia, and neighboring Russia have long understood that there's money to be made online, and quite a bit of it, that the internet is a goldmine greater than the oil fields of the Persian Gulf, and that just dig deep enough and the 19th-century Yukon Territory will seem like a mere pittance.

A name can be invented, promoted, hammered into everyone's head, entered into the Oxford Dictionary as a verb, made to make boys and young men pronounce it with reverence and envy, and young girls dream of a date with Levchin, Brin and Zuckerberg somewhere in the organic restaurant "Le Riverside" on the fashionable Citrus Creek Plantation on the Caribbean island of Dominica.

But rather than inventing a name and then promoting it, it's much easier to use something already known, something that's already been around for a long time and has been in all dictionaries for a long time. Then the costs of establishing your business online will be greatly reduced. And associating your business with a popular word is powerful. That's why deals with many zeros occur on the global secondary domain market. That's why companies compete for beautiful and catchy names. Cybersquatting and domaining exist because people need food to survive, and a successful business needs the right name.

For some time now, Ukrainian businessmen have also realized the importance of domain names for their businesses. Ukrainian individuals and companies frequently appear in global domain sales reports. Recently, Ukrainians purchased the kiev.travel domain from American cybersquatter Sam Huang, and now, after a fierce bidding war, All-Biz.info, a rapidly growing Ukrainian business directory portal, has acquired the ALL.BIZ domain at the German SEDO domain name auction for a relatively modest sum, considering its name. The deal was finalized earlier this month, and on March 12, the domain was transferred to the All-Biz.info account on GoDaddy. The new owner promptly extended it for five years, until March 26, 2016. Congratulations to the Ukrainians on this high-profile deal and best wishes for the now-All.Biz portal for future achievements.
