Estonian website owners are in no hurry to re-register

More than 90% of Estonian website owners have failed to re-register in the national .EE domain zone. The .EE domain reform began on July 5 of this year. As part of the reform, owners of Estonian resources were required to re-register.

Currently, 7,500 Estonian websites have undergone the re-registration process, representing approximately 10% of the total number of websites. The re-registration period ends on January 5, 2011. This means that domains that failed to register will be delimited, and anyone will be able to re-register them.

Re-registration and re-registration of domains costs 24 euros.

Initially, website owners protested against this domain reform.
