The owner of a pirated website has paid a fine and will give up the domain.

On February 14, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal in Moscow upheld the decision to fine the owner of the website slushai-knigi.ru 100,000 rubles. Furthermore, the plaintiffs can repossess the website's domain name.

A year ago, a lawsuit was filed against the resource's owners by copyright holders whose works were posted on the site. The author of the pirated resource posted books on it for sale. Payment for downloaded works was made via SMS or RoboKassa, an electronic payment system.

In addition to the fine, the plaintiffs, Ardis LLC and Ravnovesie Publishing House LLC, were granted the right to cancel the registration of the slushai-knigi.ru domain.
