Western Digital accused of patent infringement
Western Digital, a major hard drive manufacturer, has been accused of infringing patents on real-time disk encryption. These patents were issued back in 2006 and 2008.
The patent owner, Enova, filed a lawsuit against Western Digital. In addition to Western Digital, Enova also filed claims for patent infringement against Initio.
Enova traditionally seeks a court order to ban sales of Western Digital devices and to recover compensation for material damages.
