Wikileaks does not own a .RU domain.

The controversial internet resource's .RU domain is for sale. The WikiLeaks.ru page features the logo of the infamous WikiLeaks project, provides the domain owner's contact information, and states that the project is for sale.

According to various sources, .ru wants $45,000-75,000 for it. Julian Assange was willing to pay no more than $1,000 for the domain.

According to Kommersant newspaper, the owner of the WikiLeaks.ru domain is an employee of one of Krasnodar's investment and legal firms.

Furthermore, the site's owner reported that RuNet users have already begun sending him supposedly secret documents about official abuses.
