Yandex has released rankings of Ukrainian user search interests for March.

In mid-March, Ukrainian users were frightened by Romanian scientists' predictions of large-scale earthquakes. The number of search queries for [will there be an earthquake in Ukraine], [when will there be an earthquake in Ukraine], [earthquake in Odessa], [earthquake in Ukraine], [earthquake in Romania], and similar topics increased sharply. Over the course of the month, approximately 110,000 such queries were made.

The second most important topic that worried Ukrainians was the explosions in the Moscow metro (about 49,000 queries).

Alyosha, the singer who won the Eurovision selection with her song "To Be Free," ranked third in the Interests rankings (almost 40,000 searches). While she was previously relatively unknown to the general public, search interest skyrocketed after her victory. Users searched for information about the singer herself ([Alyosha], [singer Alyosha]), wanted to listen to the song ([alyosha to be free], [alyosha to be free]), and some even tried to find the lyrics.

Other March highs include the films Alice in Wonderland, How to Train Your Dragon, and What Men Talk About, the games Assassin's Creed 2 and Metro 2033, the transition to daylight saving time, and the fight between Vladimir Klitschko and Eddie Chambers.
