Visiting North Korean websites is banned in South Korea.

Access to websites with the .kp domain is now banned nationwide in South Korea. Authorities believe these sites contain information that violates the Communist Propaganda Law. The South Korean Communications Standards Commission has officially announced its demand to block access to websites with the North Korean domain.

Recently, reports surfaced online that the official North Korean government Twitter and YouTube accounts had been hacked. Hackers posted messages mocking North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and his son and successor, Kim Jong Un, and reminding people that the lavish celebrations for Kim Jong Un's birthday were held at a time when much of the country was starving. The group DC Inside reportedly claimed responsibility for the hack.

That same day, a video appeared on YouTube showing a cartoon version of Kim Jong-un driving an expensive car while selling women and children. The video didn't stay up for long before it was removed.

Let us recall that a blogger was recently arrested for posting a positive message about North Korea on Twitter, which also violates South Korean law.
