How to register a domain in .ORG.UA
The .ORG.UA domain is free and was originally intended for non-profit companies and organizations. Anyone can register their name here. We present the first article in a series on how to register a .ORG.UA domain name.
1. Automatic domain registration in .ORG.UA via email
The first method for registering domain names in the .ORG.UA domain is via email. Details on the email structure for applying for a domain, changing domain information, renewals, and other domain operations can be found on the pagehttp://hostmaster.ua/?pubdom#app-1.
To apply for domain name delegation in .ORG.UA, you must first register your nic-handle, which means adding your information to the Ukrainian domain owner database. This can be done on the websitehttp://hostmaster.ua/in the section "Registration of a record of an individual"https://hostmaster.ua/uanic_new.
The next step is to send a few emails toquery@auto.uanic.ua. You must send emails from the address to which the nic-handle is registered.
To send a request letter for domain name delegation, the letter must have the following structure:
Subject: ADD zzz.domain.ua
domain: zzz.domain.ua
admin-c: BBB-UANIC
tech-c: AAA-UANIC
nserver: ns.zzz.domain.ua 123.45.67.89
nserver: another.server.ns
changed: your-email-address 20060120
In the subject line of the email, indicate the word ADD, followed by the desired domain, and then the following should appear in the text:
domain: domain name
descr: domain description
admin-c: NicHandle
tech-c: Nic Handle nserver:
nserver name server
nserver: name server
changed: sender's email address
Please note that the letter must be sent in plain text, without any formatting tools.
For example,
domain: internetno.org.ua
descr: my domain
admin-c: BN89-UANIC
tech-c: BN89-UANIC
nserver: ns10.uadns.com
nserver: ns11.uadns.com
changed: nadia123@yandex.ru
The difficulty with this method is that it's easy for a user, especially an inexperienced one, to make a mistake in the email. Even if the message is sent correctly, the system may reject certain lines and return a response stating that the domain is not delegated. For example, this is exactly what happens for the nameservers ns11.uadns.com, ns10.uadns.com, and ns12.uadns.com (registrar NIC.UA).
For example, trying to send a letter with other name servers – for free hosting
domain: internetno.org.ua
descr: my domain
admin-c: BN89-UANIC
tech-c: BN89-UANIC
nserver: ns1.hostinger.com.ua
nserver: ns2.hostinger.com.ua
changed: nadia123@yandex.ru
We encountered a similar error.
Thus, registering .ORG.UA domains via email not only appears outdated, it also presents users with strange and inexplicable errors.
2.Registering a .ORG.UA domain through the websiteauto.uanic.ua
The second way to register domain names in the .ORG.UA domain is to use the websitehttps://auto.uanic.ua/.
You can apply for domain registration in .ORG.UA on the website using the "Domain Registration" section of the website.https://auto.uanic.ua/cgi-bin/add.cgi.
First, you need to log in here using your nic-handle.
The next step is to fill in the fields on the website, namely, enter the name of the desired domain, administrator information, and nameservers.
The system will generate a request and display it on the screen. The status of the request will be communicated via email to the domain administrator.
A copy of the email will indicate that your domain delegation request has been accepted.
The domain administrator will need to confirm the domain transfer request by replying to an email or clicking a link. We recommend using the link—this confirmation method works more reliably.
In the window that appears, you need to confirm your domain application by selecting "Yes."
Only after this will you receive confirmation of domain delegation in an email.
Thus, it's clear that registration through uanic.com.ua works more efficiently and is preferable for both experienced users and beginners. However, it's surprising that there's confusion about registering a domain with identical parameters but different methods. This confusion undermines the domain's popularity and negatively impacts the number of domains both in .ORG.UA and on the Ukrainian internet as a whole.
