The administrator of the .ME domain zone, .ME Registry, has decided to support the idea of ​​the administrator of the .ORG zone and announced that it will renew domains registered to Japanese citizens and companies whose delegation period expires between March 11 and April 30, 2011, completely free of charge.

As a result of the recent earthquakes in Japan, most residents were left literally without means of subsistence, essential infrastructure, or internet access. .ME Registry is committed to providing assistance to registrants affected by the disaster and will automatically renew domains whose delegations expire during the specified period free of charge. Payments for domains due for renewal between April 1 and April 30 are temporarily deferred.
