Domains in the PP.UA zone are linked to the phone number of the registrant. That’s why it’s very important to make sure that the phone number entered in the “Registrant” field during registration is correct and up to date.

Sometimes it happens that the number saved in your account is outdated, and you accidentally submitted the order with default details — or simply made a typo when entering your phone number.

Usually, you find out that the domain was registered to the wrong number during activation in Telegram, when you receive a bot message like this:

Sorry, the domain name DOMAIN.PP.UA can be activated by +380********* only, but you act as +380*********

Pick up a domain name you always dreamed of

What can you do in this case?

If the outdated number is saved in your account details, please contact our support team at support@nic.ua and request a number update so this situation doesn’t occur again in the future. You can find a detailed guide on how to do this here.

It is not possible to change the phone number in an already submitted domain registration request. Once the order has been placed, the data is automatically sent to the registry, and the domain remains pending activation for five days.

After five days from the submission, the registry automatically closes the request, and you will be able to reapply for the same domain — this time using your correct phone number.

⚠️ Note: you can also register a domain with a slightly different spelling using the correct number without waiting for the five-day period to expire. For example, if you registered myshop.pp.ua with an incorrect number, you can immediately register my-shop.pp.ua using the correct one.
